Guitarist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Belew first stepped into the spotlight in the late 1970s when he was discovered by Frank Zappa. He is best known for his role as frontman and co-guitarist for prog-rock group King Crimson, with whom he played from 1981-2009. He is widely recognized for his incredibly versatile guitar playing skills and has released nearly 20 solo albums over the course of his career. Belew has worked extensively as a touring musician with several legendary artists, including the likes of David Bowie, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson, and Nine Inch Nails, while also contributing to hit singles by Paul Simon, Tom Tom Club, and many others. He also earned a Top 10 hit single as a solo artist with his 1989 song “Oh Daddy,” as well as earning a Grammy nomination for his 2005 single “Beat Box Guitar.”
